Bloomberg & CMi2i Join Forces on Investor Relations Solutions

Bloomberg and CMi2i announce today that CMi2i’s shareholder identification analysis can be accessed through Bloomberg’s investor relations (“IR”) functionality within the Bloomberg Terminal.

Reliable and comprehensive information on companies’ shareholders is crucial for IR managers. Collecting this information can be challenging, especially in jurisdictions where public disclosure of holdings is limited. CMi2i’s team of analysts utilise a unique methodology, which has been developed over 20 years, to enable them to identify the underlying shareholder structure – encompassing the beneficial holders, investment decision makers and vote mandate holders. The collaboration between Bloomberg and CMi2i combines public shareholder information collected by Bloomberg with CMi2i’s bespoke collection and analysis of non-public shareholder data. By joining forces with CMi2i, Bloomberg will provide an even more dynamic experience including access to shareholders’ other holdings, portfolio information, news and market intelligence. Bloomberg’s IR suite also helps users manage interactions with shareholders, investment and analyst communities across the globe.

Robert Friend, Global Head of Sell-Side Solutions and Research at Bloomberg, said: “We are delighted to work with CMi2i to provide investor relations managers with access to shareholder identification services on the Bloomberg Terminal. In combination with the market intelligence and ability to connect with local and international capital market participants offered by Bloomberg, CMi2i’s services allow us to provide a comprehensive IR offering.”

Mark Simms, CEO of CMi2i added:

"We are delighted to enter this collaboration, which will enable us to offer access to our bespoke analysis and research directly through Bloomberg’s marketleading Terminal, to the considerable benefit of our mutual clients."

Bloomberg’s IR solutions provide global market intelligence arming investor relations officers and corporate executives with detailed analyst, investor and capital structure information, earnings and estimates data and market-moving news. The suite includes sophisticated analytics and reporting solutions and is fully accessible on mobile.
